Deep Spring Dance
A Seasonal Immersion
with Open Floor teachers Patricia Roux and Megan Riley
Spring is stirring.
After the inwardness of winter, something begins to move again — earth softening, seeds breaking open, bodies stretching towards the light.
And beneath the visible unfolding, there is a deeper movement — the quiet, mysterious pulse of life awakening.
Deep Spring Dance is an invitation to enter that movement through the body. This conscious dance immersion offers a beautiful threshold into the even brighter, more expansive months ahead. Is there some winter stillness left to shake off? Or something bubbling beneath the surface that wants to be explored? Stir the body and reconnect with the creative energy that lives within us.
An afternoon of Open Floor conscious dance, soulful soundscapes, creative exploration, and quiet reflection. A space to listen beneath the surface, follow what is emerging and allow the body to lead.
We’ll dance, pause, play, rest and listen — exploring the meeting place between stillness and movement, roots and reaching, what has been and what is becoming.
A mini-retreat for the body and mind, awakening imagination and inspiration, held in the warmth and support of community.
“This beginning has been quietly forming, waiting until you were ready to emerge.”
— John O'Donohue | For A New Beginning.

About your facilitators:
Patricia is a mother, dancer, yoga and meditation teacher who has been practising mindful movement and conscious dance for over 15 years. Together with her husband, Theva Indrasenan, they run Dancing Dhevas, offering conscious dance classes, workshops, and retreats in Western Australia and Bali. A certified Open Floor teacher, Patricia brings a unique and grounded approach shaped by the exploration of diverse somatic modalities and a deep love for embodied mindfulness. Her classes offer space to arrive fully in the body and listen to what’s alive within.
Meg is a creative, mother, teacher, and lifelong student. With a background in commercial creativity and choreographed dance, she found conscious dance on an island off the coast of BC, Canada, 10 years ago — sparking a deep love of free-form movement. Now an Open Floor movement teacher and post-graduate student of Creative Arts Therapies, she’s passionate about exploring how her inner creative landscape translates to the outside world, and supporting others to do the same.
About Open Floor:
Open Floor is a resource-based movement practice. We explore new ways of moving and responding to what is happening with intention and purpose. We learn to understand our habits and patterns for deeper insight and self-awareness. The more we embody different responses in our movements, the more resources we can call on to move through life with flexibility, resilience and ease.
