Dancing Dhevas Ecstatic Dance
Invocation 2026 is the first Dancing Dhevas conscious dance of the year — an embodied invitation to arrive in 2026 through movement, music, and presence.
Rather than setting intentions in the mind, we enter the year through the body. Through a carefully curated musical journey, we create a safe, held, non-verbal space where intention becomes embodied and the year ahead is consciously invoked.
Letting Go & Calling In
At check-in, you’ll receive two pieces of paper and be invited into reflection:
One word for 2025 — honouring what has been
One word for 2026 — calling in what is to come
One word to release, one word to invoke. These words will form part of the altar on the stage, and we will dance with both — past and future meeting in the present moment.
The Dance
Dancing Dhevas invite you to go deeper than “dancing like no one is watching” — to dance with your soul. Drop the ego, quieten the inner critic, and let your inner experience guide your movement. There are no steps to learn, no right or wrong way to move.
Free-form ecstatic dance supports embodiment, joyful exercise, stress release, deeper breathing, and connection — both with yourself and the community around you.
No prior dance experience is needed.
What to Expect
A facilitated ecstatic / conscious dance journey
A safe, welcoming space for newcomers and regular dancers
No talking on the dance floor
No alcohol or substances
Barefoot dancing
The space is non-verbal, alcohol-free, drug-free, and smoke-free, allowing the body to speak and the mind to rest.
The Flow
6:30pm — Doors open | Arrive, warm up, stretch, settle in
7:00pm — Doors close | Opening circle & ecstatic dance (no late entry)
8:45pm — Dance winds down | Closing circle & watermelon
9:00pm — Close
Practical Info
Please bring a water bottle
Leave phones and shoes outside the dance floor
Wear comfortable clothing you can move freely in
This is an 18+ event (not suitable for children).

Dancing Dhevas have been facilitating conscious dance in WA for over 15 years, trained in multiple modalities and offering classes, workshops, and retreats. While forms may vary, the essence remains the same — presence, authenticity, and embodied truth.
